3D Printing Rules

Please be aware that it may take at least 1-2 weeks for you to receive your 3D print

About the Replicator 2 | 3D Printing @ the Library | Creating Your Own Design

For Beginners: Customizing a Thingiverse Design

  • Only Northbrook Residents with a Library card in good standing may submit designs for 3D printing

  • Only one job may be submitted at a time

  • Files must be in .stl format
  • We cannot print objects that require more than 10 hours to complete
  • Jobs that require multiple printing of components or longer print jobs may drop in queue position

  • You must clean your own rafts and supports

  • Staff review and prepare all project files, so please submit appropriate objects.  No guns, gun parts, weapons, or salacious objects

  • You can donate to the PLA fund. If you want a color that is not supplied by the Library, you can donate the whole spool cost and we will purchase it. Any remaining/unused filament becomes the property of the library

  • We can’t promise specific colors will be available

  • Staff reserve the right to refuse to print any item

  • These rules may change at any time
