Nutrients: Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C and a good source of Vitamin A and B, potassium, iron, and phosphorus.

Make Sure it's Fresh: Select firm, bright tomatoes that feel heavy for their size.  Attached stems and leaves should look fresh.

Storage: Store Ripe Tomatoes at Room Temperature for as long as 5-6 days in a single layer out of sunlight with the stem side down.  Then store in the refrigerator and use as soon as possible.
