shall act in an advisory capacity to the president and the board
of trustees and shall be guided by the mission of encouraging
the development and enjoyment of the arts in the village. For
the purposes of the mission of this commission, arts shall include,
without limitation, the exhibition of works of art, the conduct
of programs of music and the performing arts, the exhibition of
historical objects, the presentation of dramatic productions,
and other exhibitions and performances enhancing the cultural
and intellectual level of the village.*
