    A graduate of both Northwestern University and the Boston New England Conservatory, Mira Luxion will open the evening with two iconic works for solo cello: J S Bach First Suite, circa 1717 and Gyorgy Ligeti's impassioned Sonata written in 1948-1953

    Then, the 110-year Waukegan Swedish Glee Club will treat us to enjoyable and beautiful traditional Swedish and English choral songs. An exceptional 110 year group! For the last 10 years, they have been both a men and women's ensemble and perform traditional (and contemporary) Swedish and English songs. Their repertoire focuses on enjoyable, beautiful songs that will really stick in your mind. Come discover how magnificent and inspiring the Swedish choral literature is!
