    Hackers: MaKey MaKey (grades 4-8) Register

    It's not what you think! A hacker is someone who enjoys building, rebuilding, and modifying software; someone who enjoys testing limits and seeing what is possible. In this program, we will be using MaKey MaKeys to turn everyday conductive items into touchpads recognizable by computers. All Northbrook Public Library cardholders who participate in the Computer Hackers class will be eligible to check out MaKey MaKey Kits from the library.

    JEFFRY V. MALLOW is Professor Emeritus of Physics, Loyola University Chicago. He is Honorary Chair of the Chicago YIVO Society. Professor Mallow has been a public lecturer on science, politics, and Jewish humor for more than thirty years.
