    Our annual Piano Showcase Recital presented by virtuoso Winston Choi of Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts, one of the most attended evenings at the Parisian Salon Concerts series!

  • Concert and Commentary with Jim Kendros

    Pre-concert lecturer Jim Kendros will discuss the Northbrook Symphony's upcoming October 19 concert - a unique take on Vivaldi's Four Seasons, featuring orchestral showpieces by four different composers, one for each season. Jim will highlight what to listen for and delve into the lives of the composers and their times. He will conclude with a mini concert on one of his unusual string instruments.

  • Parisian Salon Concert - Michaela Paetsch

    Michaela Paetsch is a Colorado native currently living in Switzerland. Her playing has been described as “gloriously charged…beguilingly velvety” (The Strad). Michaela has garnered international attention and numerous awards and has performed as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician in the major musical centers of the world as well as many major symphony orchestras. Her extensive discography began with the 1987 recording of the 24 Caprices by Niccolo Paganini for TELDEC, making her the first female performer to record the complete work. She is also violinist with the Swiss salon music ensemble Prima Carezza, which champions the music of Georges Boulanger.

    Keyboard artist Peter Biro is a graduate of the UCLA School of Fine Arts and currently resides in Colorado Springs. He has appeared as soloist and recitalist on piano, organ and harpsichord in the United States and Europe. As a composer he has had compositions premiered in both Los Angeles and Colorado. He enjoys woodworking and instrument building, and a number of his harpsichords are in use thought out the Rocky Mountain Region. He is organist and harpsichordist at St Mary's Church in Denver.

    The evening’s music will include classics, a new work, and a selection of salon favorites.
