    Join our *new* book discussion group - Serial Readers for grades 4 through 6. We'll be reading and discussing books in a series while eating pizza! Our first book is Sisters by Raina Telgemeier. Register and then drop by the Youth Services desk for a library copy of the book.

    Join us for a fun discussion of Felix Takes the Stage by Kathryn Lasky. We'll hang out, make a craft and talk about a family of poisonous but friendly brown recluse spiders.

  • Friday, November 20, 2015 - 7:00pm

    Uprooted from Chicago to rural Ireland, Maggie searches for her place in the country she now calls home before enduring a tragedy that sends her on a pilgrimage to fulfill her uncle's request.

    We meet at the Starbucks on Cherry and your first drink is on us. The first 7 registered teens to check in at the Youth Service desk get a free copy of the book. Heads up: This book has a suggested reading audience of 8-12th grade.

    The Tale of Peter Rabbit (For Families)
    Beatrix Potter’s story of a little bunny boy who disregards his mother’s advice and ventures into Farmer McGregor’s garden. In the garden he meets a friendly scarecrow, finds lots of yummy vegetables, and almost gets caught and put into a rabbit pie. He finally realizes why it is best to listen to one’s parents.
