    Northbrook filmmaker Jeff Spitz discusses food, health, and the environment. Sparked by his son's struggle with foodborne illness, Spitz created Food Patriots, a humorous documentary on nutrition and the people who are leading the good food revolution. Last year Spitz sparked discussion of raising backyard chickens, a topic which is featured in the film.

    This will be the first viewing in Northbrook. A question and answer session will follow the screening.

    Do you have a story to tell?

    Learn the art of electronic book publishing and be ready to experiment with a variety of media (embedded pictures, music, movies, links) to help tell your tale. In this 7-week program (1st meeting is mandatory, the last is your deadline and the rest are open labs) we’ll focus on helping you craft a strong story and turn it into a multidimensional ebook, downloadable from the library’s website. Please come with a written story (even if it’s rough).
