If you enjoyed our recent screening of The Vanishing of the Bees, you may be interested to learn more about bees and beekeeping. The Heller Nature Center in Highland Park has an apiary of 20 colonies of honey bees that school classes and families can visit for beekeeping programs. They extract and bottle honey every August.
