The Northbrook Fire Department is a full service emergency agency,
certified by the State of Illinois as the Emergency Services Disaster
Coordination Agency. The Village has an ISO Class 2 fire rating;
only one of 17 in Illinois. The improved ISO rating means lower
insurance premium rates.
Operational Purpose: To protect the life, property and environment
by providing rapid, professional and cost effective fire protection
and interdictive life safety services. To effectively manage the
resources necessary to provide traditional and non-traditional
emergency service to the citizens of the Village of Northbrook.
The Fire Department is also responsible for managing Northbrook's
Emergency Services Disaster Agency.
