  • Gasland - an examination of the controversial process of hydraulic fracking.
  • Food, Inc. - an expose of how our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations.
  • Who Killed the Electric Car? - investigates the birth and death of the electric car.
  • The Vanishing of the Bees - scientists and beekeepers puzzle over the disappearance of honeybees.

If you have furniture or housewares to get rid of or are looking for unique home decor at bargain prices, try these local resale and consignment shops.

Upscale and vintage furniture and home furnishings. Proceeds support local agencies serving women and children in crisis.

Turn the Tables (1955 Cherry Ln., Northbrook):

Hadassah House Resale Shop (405 Lake Cook Rd., Deerfield Plaza):
Quality clothing, furniture and housewares. Proceeds benefit ground-breaking medical research in Israel.
