It's back to school time again, and that means packed lunches for many kids. Did you know that on average, a school-age child using disposable lunch packaging and utensils generates 67 pounds of waste per school year?

Instead of using plastic sandwich bags or buying individually wrapped snacks, consider reusable containers, napkins and utensils. Not only will you help the environment, it will also save you money.

Thanks to everyone who brought in old art supplies throughout the month of August for our recycling drive. We filled several boxes which we will send to Terracycle to be recycled and repurposed.
