Going Green with NPL

PrintPrint

Thursday, February 27 at 7pm, Auditorium

Why do we have forest preserves in Northbrook? What do they add to our quality of life and why is it important to care for their plants and animals?

Somme Woods and Prairie are hidden treasures filled with peace and beauty. Throughout the year, volunteer stewards restore the habitat for hundreds of rare and endangered plants and animals.

Learn how you can participate in seed gathering, controlled burns, prairie and oak woods restoration, and other ways to enjoy this little-known resource in Northbrook.

Go Green Northbrook cosponsors this program of presentations and discussion, offering an opportunity to discover some of the rare landscapes, orchids, butterflies and birds that are our neighbors.

If you missed the presentation on Energy Conservation and Solar Generation for Home and Business co-sponsored by Go Green Northbrook, you can watch it on YouTube.
