Going Green with NPL

If you have furniture or housewares to get rid of or are looking for unique home decor at bargain prices, try these local resale and consignment shops.

Village Treasure House (1460 Paddock Dr., Northbrook):
Upscale and vintage furniture and home furnishings. Proceeds support local agencies serving women and children in crisis.

Turn the Tables (1955 Cherry Ln., Northbrook):
Upscale consignment furniture and home decor. They also turn old, worn furniture into fresh "works of art" with decorative painting, architectural embellishments, and fabric and paper lamination in their onsite studio.

Hadassah House Resale Shop (405 Lake Cook Rd., Deerfield Plaza):
Quality clothing, furniture and housewares. Proceeds benefit ground-breaking medical research in Israel.

Have you used up a roll of tape wrapping presents this month? Bring any empty tape cores or disposable dispensers to the library and we will recycle them!

Drop them off at any service desk on the 2nd or 3rd floors:
Reference, Youth Services, Multimedia, Reader Services.

The collection lasts from December 1st to January 15th.
