Moonbird by Phillip Hoose is the true story of a banded shorebird that has traveled the distance equivalent to a trip to the moon and halfway back in his lifetime. The band on his leg reads B95 and that is how he is identified. Each February he travels with his flock from the bottom of Argentina to breeding grounds in the Arctic approximately 9000 miles. How do scientists track B95 and other red knot birds? What is being done to protect the dwindling numbers of this species? What can you do to help out? This is an award winning title now available on CD.

This winning novel is the tale of a gorilla named Ivan who has lived in a circus-like atmosphere in a mall for many years. When a young elephant is brought to live in the mall, Ivan decides that it should have a different and better life.
