Jewish
Life and Remembrance in Berlin and Germany |
|
|
German unification brought together a divided country and
laid the foundation for a renaissance of Jewish life in the
new German capital, Berlin. This renaissance is manifested
by the founding and flourishing of Jewish synagogues, cultural
institutions, restaurants, galleries and cafes, and most recently
by the opening of the world famous Jewish Museum designed
by Daniel Libeskind and the Holocaust Memorial by New York
architect Peter Eisenman.
Join German historian Anette Isaacs for a fascinating
discussion of the rebirth of Jewish life in Berlin and Germany
65 years after World War II.
