Jewish Life and Remembrance in Berlin and Germany


German unification brought together a divided country and laid the foundation for a renaissance of Jewish life in the new German capital, Berlin. This renaissance is manifested by the founding and flourishing of Jewish synagogues, cultural institutions, restaurants, galleries and cafes, and most recently by the opening of the world famous Jewish Museum designed by Daniel Libeskind and the Holocaust Memorial by New York architect Peter Eisenman.

Join German historian Anette Isaacs for a fascinating discussion of the rebirth of Jewish life in Berlin and Germany 65 years after World War II.

AARP Driver Safety


This two day eight-hour defensive driving course sponsored by AARP will help make you a better and safer driver. You may be eligible for a discount on the liability portion of your car insurance. Register at the Reader Services desk. The fee for AARP members is $12; for nonmembers $14, to be paid in advance.
