Northbrook Originals Juried Show
In April the library exhibits a juried show of artwork from Northbrook artists who are 18 years or older. The show is co-sponsored by the Northbrook Arts Commission. Northbrook Artists who are not on the mailing list and want to be can contact the Commission.

Annual International Juried Show
The highlight of our visual arts year is our annual international juried show in October with a gala opening and a $2,000 purchase prize. In 2010 the length of the show was increased from 4 to 6 weeks. Jurying takes place in early summer and applications are available online and at the Library. Inquiries may be made to artshow@northbrook.info.

The 2011 theme was Catawampus.

The 2012 theme was Journeys. We invited a number of artists who participated in previous shows to submit possible themes and this one seemed very appropriate. This was our 10th annual exhibition.

The 2013 theme is Social Media.

Monthly Exhibitions
For  9 months out of the year the Library hosts month-long exhibitions by local artists and arts groups. Typically, these shows are booked a full year in advance and are open to both new and seasoned artists. In order to apply for an exhibition, an artist must submit some examples of their work for review. Once  approved, artists must call in to register for a specific month. For full instructions please email your inquiry to info@northbrook.info.
