The Library has three meeting rooms for public events on the first floor and five private study rooms on the second floor.
The Pollak Room, Civic Room, and Auditorium can be booked by Northbrook-based non-profit groups for meetings and events that are open to the public and free of charge. A Northbrook library card is required to reserve a room. Groups may reserve rooms three times within a six month period.
Rooms must be booked in advance through the Reader Services Department at 847-272-2958. Room set-up forms and agreements must be received at least a week before the scheduled event. Available equipment includes an LCD projector for computer presentations and a TV with a VCR/DVD player.
The Pollak Room is a large meeting room with an open floor plan that holds a maximum of 40 people. Seating can be arranged in rows for a lecture or with tables and chairs for classes and workshops.

The Civic Room has a conference table with 14 chairs and can hold a total of 30 people.

The Auditorium seats a maximum of 188 and can be used for lectures, large meetings, and music recitals. A grand piano is available for use for a non-refundable $50 fee.

Northbrook residents with a valid library card can book a study room by calling 847-272-4980. The rooms hold a maximum of 8 people.
Rooms may be reserved up to a week in advance for a maximum of 2 hours a day and 4 hours a week. Reservations will be forfeited if the room isn't occupied within 15 minutes of the starting time.
