Nutrients: Melons are high in Vitamin C. Cantaloupes are a good source of vitamin B6 and A. Watermelon has lycopene, an antioxidant.
Make Sure it's Fresh: Good cantaloupes have a floral bouquet, and have deep netting and golden color. Good honeydews have a creamy color and waxy skin. Good watermelons have waxy skin and sound hollow when thumped.
Storage: Store all melons at room temperature. If you prefer them chilled, refrigerate overnight.
