  • Night and the City - Wednesday Classic Film Series
    Wednesday, February 10, 2016 - 1:00pm

Director Jules Dassin established his reputation with this picture, a virtually flawless and absorbing film noir with multiple plot twists and a great collection of characters. Richard Widmark plays a two-bit hustler who stumbles on a chance of a lifetime…but his schemes soon teach him the horrible price of ambition. Luminously shot on the streets of London, the cinematography in this film is noir at its best.
