    Tracy Gossage leads a discussion of "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion. A socially awkward genetics professor creates a lengthy questionnaire with his requirements for the perfect wife, but instead finds Rosie, a fiercely independent barmaid seeking her biological father, who meets none of his criteria.

    Pre-concert lecturer Jim Kendros will discuss the Northbrook Symphony's upcoming October 19 concert - a unique take on Vivaldi's Four Seasons, featuring orchestral showpieces by four different composers, one for each season. Jim will highlight what to listen for and delve into the lives of the composers and their times. He will conclude with a mini concert on one of his unusual string instruments.
