The Center is a branch of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.  Houses a large collection of Chicago and Cook County records and has over 3.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical records from all over the world.   The Center is staffed by volunteers who assist in using the Center's resources.

Contains over 6,000 volumes that include manuscripts, magazine, microfilm, microfiche, CD-ROMS and computer databases.  Information includes information primarily about states from the Atlantic to the west bank of the Mississippi River.

One of 14 NARA facilities with public access to Federal archival records dating from 1800 to the 1990’s.  Holdings include records from Federal agencies and courts in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

FamilySearch

Website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS).  Contains genealogical information from all over the world.

International Tracing Service Archive (ITS)

Contains information on approximately 17.5 million victims of Nazism, both Jews and non-Jews.  Requests for information are handled by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum using an online request form or by using a paper request form that can be printed and mailed or faxed.

USGenWeb Project 

The USGenWeb Project consists of a group of volunteers working together to provide Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States.

Family Chronicle

A genealogical magazine for people researching family trees, family history, their heritage, and genealogy roots.  Published six times a year.

Family Tree Magazine

A publication about genealogy and family with resource guides for specific ethnicities.  Published seven times a year.

North Suburban Genealogical Society 1776 Walters Ave., Northbrook, Illinois.

Meetings are held monthly (except December) on Saturday afternoons, at the Northbrook Historical Society, 1776 Walters Ave., Northbrook, Illinois.  The Society's newsletter is published six times a year and mailed to subscribers.
