Parisian Salon Concert

The salon will feature pianist Esther Nyberg, who will perform quite a geographic spectrum of the history of piano repertoire with works from Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), Enrique Granados (1867-1916), Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) and still active composer Nikolai Kapustin, born in Ukraine in 1937... Come One, Come All.

Fine Arts Fall: George Lepauw

Piano. Works by Beethoven. Named Chicagoan of the Year (2012) for Classical Music in the Chicago Tribune and listed in Chicago Magazine’s Classical Music “Power List” (2013), George represents the ideal 21st century musician, intensely focused on his art and wholly engaged with the world. George began piano studies at the age of three in Paris with Aida Barenboim, mother of Daniel Barenboim, and began concertizing at the age of ten.

AMC 10 Study Group

During this weekly teen-led study group, participants will take a practice AMC 10 under test conditions for 75 minutes
and then go over the answers and select solutions. Participants must be in 9th or 10th grade, be enrolled in an honors math class and have taken the AMC 8 or 10 last year. This group will meet on October 16 and 23, November 6 and 27, December 4, 11, and 18, January 22 and 29, February 5 and 12.
