Call for Film Submissions: Northbrook Youth Film Festival (Grades 7-12)

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Film entry forms must be received at the Northbrook Public Library by Monday, November 5 

FILM FESTIVAL EVENT: Tuesday, November 13, 6:00-7:30pm, Northbrook Public Library Auditorium
(A small reception with light refreshments will follow).

Attention teens! Let your creativity shine and enter your original short film into the 9th Annual Northbrook Youth Film Festival. Your film will be screened for the public in the library's Auditorium and you'll have the chance to win awesome filmmaking equipment valued at up to $250!

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

Students in grades 7-12 from any school in the northern Chicago suburbs are encouraged to submit a film. Previous participants have included students from Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Deerfield High School, Maine East, and Northshore Country Day.

WHAT TO SUBMIT?

You can submit up to three films from 3-12 minutes in length. Films can be any genre (comedy, documentary, suspense, drama, thriller, etc.), however all films must be appropriate for a public, family audience. There is no cost to submit a film for consideration. 

HOW TO SUBMIT?

Films can be submitted via USB drive or a link to Vimeo or YouTube. Limit three entries per participant. Each film must be submitted with a separate submission form and separate USB drive or Vimeo link or YouTube link.

WHEN TO SUBMIT?

We're accepting films now! All film entry forms (including links to films or USB drives) must be received at the Northbrook Public Library by Monday, November 5.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT A FILM?

Accepted films will be screened at the Northbrook Public Library Auditorium during the Youth Film Festival on Tuesday, November 13. Prizes for select films will also be announced at the screening. The Northbrook Youth Film Festival is free and open to the public. Invite your friends and family! We ask that you reserve a spot to let us know how many people will be attending the Northbrook Youth Film Festival.
