After the bid notice for the Northbrook Public Library 2nd Floor Study Rooms and Penthouse Repairs was posted to the Library's website, there was a miscommunication as to whether the pre-bid meeting would be mandatory or not. Please note that the pre-bid meeting on 11/15 was in fact mandatory. If you are planning to provide a proposal on this project, there is an additional mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at 7:30 AM on Thursday 11/21 to address this miscommunication. Project Description
The Scope of Work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary for the 2nd Floor Study Rooms and the Replacement of the Metal Panels to the Existing Library Penthouse. Multiple Contracts will be awarded for the various trades performing the scope of work. Refer to the Contract Documents for additional information related to the Scope of Work associated with each Contract.
Project Schedule
The work is to be performed at Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Illinois. Work is scheduled to take place from April 2020 through May 2020.
A mandatory pre‐bid meeting will be held at 7:30 A.M., local time on Wednesday, November 15th, 2019, at Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Illinois.
The public bid opening will take place at 9:30 A.M., local time on Friday, December 6, 2019, in Library’s 1st floor Civic Room located at 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Illinois. Prior to the public bid opening, sealed bids will be physically received by 9:30 A.M., local time on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Library’s 2nd Floor Administration Office. Bidder assumes responsibility for late delivery of the Bid whether by mail or by any other delivery service. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to see that its Bid is received in the proper time. Any Bid received by the Northbrook Public Library after 9:30 A.M., local time on Friday, December 6, 2019, shall be rejected.
