Money Smart Week at the Northbrook Public Library

Money Smart Week

The first week of April is Money Smart Week at the Northbrook Public Library. Created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Money Smart Week brings together financial institutions with libraries to offer free financial education classes across the country. This year, the library will host a series of classes that cover a wide range of topics like from aligning financial values with life values, to managing the cost of college, and more.

On Monday, April 1, financial adviser Sylvia Panek explains how to align financial values with life values to help build wealth in an environmentally and socially conscious manner. On Wednesday, April 3, Mark Solomon explains how to get the most out of money in retirement. On Thursday, April 4, Omar Zaki from Edward Jones explains the principles of investing, and on Saturday, April 6, Lora Georgieva helps college students learn what they can do to graduate without a mountain of student loan debt.
