From Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4, our online services will be limited due to planned server maintenance to add the Warren-Newport Public Library to our library system. During this time, you'll be able to sign up for a library card and check out materials (including your holds) at the library*. We'll also be extending due dates so that no materials will be due.
Online services that will be limited from September 1-4 include:
- Searching the catalog, accessing your account, or accessing your digital library card. Please call 847-272-6224 or visit the library for account questions or to confirm that an item is on the shelf. If possible, bring your physical library card to check out materials, because you won't be able to access your digital card during this time. (If you forget to bring your card, we can look up your library card number so you can check out materials.)
- Placing online holds. Please call 847-272-6224 or visit the library to request a hold.*
- Making an online study or meeting room reservation. Please call 847-272-6224 or visit the library to reserve a room.*
- Checking out eBooks/eAudiobooks (including Libby, Hoopla, and Axis360) or streaming movies/TV (including Kanopy & Hoopla).
- Accessing some library databases and eResources (including Creativebug, EBSCO, Explore More IL, LinkedIn Learning, and NoveList).
Once the maintenance is complete on Tuesday, September 5, you'll have access to over 300,000 items, as our library system grows even larger with the addition of the Warren-Newport Public Library.
* The library will be closed on Sunday, September 3, and Monday, September 4 for Labor Day.
