Temporary Library Card Application

How does it work?

If you live in incorporated Northbrook, you can apply for a temporary library card that allows you to access our eResources (genealogy, languages, skills, etc.) and digital downloads (eBooks, eAudiobooks, TV shows, movies, music, etc.).

Here's how to apply for a temporary library card:

  1. Complete the application below.
  2. Give us 24 hours to review your application and create your card.
  3. After your card is created, we'll email your card number and PIN to you.

Your temporary library card will expire one month from the date it’s issued. You can come into the library within the month to convert it to a permanent card. A permanent card lets you check out library materials, reserve meeting and study rooms, and more. Review our information about getting a library card to learn what you’ll need to bring to the library to get your permanent card.
