Catalog Search and Account Access will be limited from October 16 through October 19

Our Catalog Will Grow Even Larger as Two New Libraries are Added to our Library Network

We're getting ready to welcome the Rolling Meadows and Wauconda Public Libraries to our library network. To connect our systems, access to the catalog, accounts, and some online services will be limited from Friday, October 16, through Monday, October 19. Starting Tuesday, October 20, you will be able to access more than 300,000 items from these libraries!

From October 16 – 19

  • Bring your card to the library. Please try to remember to bring your library card when checking out items, including your holds. (If you don’t have a library card, you can still sign up for one during this time.)
  • Call the library to confirm if an item is on the shelf. The online catalog may be out of date during this time. Call 847-272-6224 to make sure an item is available.
  • Place your holds before the weekend, if possible. To place a hold during this time, please visit the Reference, Fiction & Media, or Youth Services desk or call 847-272-6224.
  • Enjoy your items a little bit longer. You can still return materials, but we will automatically extend your due dates. Items will not be checked in until after the offline period.
  • Wait to pay or update your account information. You can still log into your online library account, but while the system is offline, you will not be able to use it to place holds, pay fees, or update your account information.
  • You may experience interruptions with some online resources. Although you can still access most of our online resources, you may not be able to access Kanopy, Hoopla, and Explore More Illinois during this time.

Starting Tuesday, October 20

  • Full functionality is expected to be restored.
  • In addition to the current 32 area libraries in our network (CCS), you can check out materials at the Rolling Meadows and Wauconda Public Libraries with your library card.
