About Northbrook Repairs

Help the environment and your community by repairing a broken item instead of tossing it! At Northbrook Repairs, skilled volunteers will do their best to help you repair an item, free of charge.

At some of our past events, lamps, toys, clothing, books, bags, and bicycles have been repaired.

How It Works

  • Bring your item to the Pollak Room and register in person.
  • Be prepared to wait with your item. (Seating is available.)
  • No drop-offs: you must be present when we call your name and during the repair.
  • You are limited to one item at a time. If you have an additional item, you can return to the end of the line after your item is repaired.
  • We cannot accept items for repair after 3:00pm.
  • We'll do our best, but we cannot guarantee that your item will be fixed.
