Announcement about a threat received at Northbrook Public Library on Thursday, September 14

Yesterday, around 5:00pm, like many other libraries around the area, Northbrook Public Library received a bomb threat via email. After performing a search, the Northbrook Police Department determined that there was no threat to staff or patrons. We are thankful for their swift response and to our library staff for their efficient handling of this situation.

While this has been a challenging situation, we are thankful for the support of this community and we look forward to seeing you at the library.

From Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4, our online services will be limited due to planned server maintenance to add the Warren-Newport Public Library to our library system. During this time, you'll be able to sign up for a library card and check out materials (including your holds) at the library*. We'll also be extending due dates so that no materials will be due.
