This year's Summer Reading theme is “Find Your Voice,” and to help with that, we’ve teamed up with StoryStudio Chicago to offer writing workshops led by published teaching authors with unique perspectives. These workshops are a great opportunity to improve your writing skills, find your voice, and share your unique story. Read on.

Our popular Northbrook Repairs event returns on Saturday, May 6 from 1:00-3:30pm. The goal of Northbrook Repairs is to give people a chance to learn some repair skills and to help keep as many items out of landfills as possible. You are invited to bring a household item in need of repair to be matched with one of our skilled volunteers who will try to help you fix it. Learn more.

Students entering Grades 9-12 in the fall can apply to volunteer at the library this summer. Online applications are due by May 20. 

High school students who are interested in volunteering this summer are invited to apply to become a Summer High School Volunteer for the chance to gain some real-world experience, earn service hours, and have some fun while helping out at our award-winning library. Learn more.
