Northbrook Repairs

Sunday, May 19, 1:30-4:30pm, Pollak Room B | Collaboratory

Don't toss it. Fix it! At our first Northbrook Repairs, skilled volunteers will do their best to help you repair an item, free of charge. So if you have something around your house in need of fixing or mending, like a lamp, fan, humidifier, clothing with rips or tears, a bicycle, or a small item of furniture, help the environment and your community by repairing it instead of tossing it!  Stop in Pollak Room B where staff will guide you to the right room for repair!

Please note:

  • Your item must be small enough for you to carry.

  • Register in-person when you arrive and be prepared to wait with your item.

  • Limit 1 item per person at a time. For each additional item, you will return to the end of the line after each item is repaired.

  • No drop-offs: You’ll need to be present when we call your name and during the repair.

  • Don’t bring anything leaking, dangerous, containing gasoline, or that has a strong odor.

  • Registration ends at 4pm; after 4pm, we will not accept items for repair.

  • We'll do our best, but we cannot guarantee that your object will be fixed.
