Lost or Stolen Cards
If your Northbrook Library card is lost or stolen, please call us at 847-272-6224 immediately. The cardholder is responsible for any items checked out to the account until we are notified.
Manage Your Library Account Online
You can log into your account with your library card number and password/PIN to renew items, check due dates, place holds, pay fines, change your contact information, indicate your message preferences, let us know which email reminders you'd like to receive, and change your username and/or password.
If you have forgotten your password/PIN use this link to reset it or click the "Forgot Password" link in the Account Login page.
Update Your Address, Email Address, or Phone Number
To update your address, visit one of our Welcome desks with a current photo ID, proof of address, and property tax bill if you live in unincorporated Northbrook.
You can update your email address and/or phone number by logging into your account or by calling 847-272-6224 and verifying a few pieces of information.
Accessing a Digital Library Card
You can access a digital version of your card by installing the Northbrook Public Library app, available for Apple and Android devices.
Renew Your Library Card
If you live in incorporated Northbrook, your card will no longer expire, so you will not have to renew it as long as you continue to live in incorporated Northbrook.
However, there are other types of cards that do expire, like our Business cards. If your library card expires, you can renew it in person at one of our Welcome desks. Learn about the type of ID you will need to bring to get or renew your expired card.
