Book a 30-Minute Technology Appointment at the Library
How to Book a Technology Appointment
- No library card needed—just select “Book Now” below, select the service you would like help with, choose a date and time, select an in-person or virtual appointment,* and enter your name, email, and phone number.
- You can book up to two technology appointments per month. If you need more help, you can drop by Tech Tuesday, held each Tuesday in the Reference Dept. (2nd floor) from 3:00-5:00pm. (No appointment or library card needed.)
- For accommodations or accessibility assistance, please call 847-272-6224, and our staff will help you schedule a technology appointment.
* Virtual appointments are best for demonstrations via screenshare, explaining tech concepts, and answering questions. If you need hands-on help, we suggest scheduling an in-person technology appointment.
Location & Check-In
On the day and time of your appointment, check in at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor.
If you are scheduled for a virtual appointment: you will receive an email with a Zoom invitation link at least one day before the appointment.
What We Can Help With
We can offer support and education for:
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Using the library’s eResources
- Office software (Word, Excel, etc.), and more
- Specific apps, programs, and more (Uber/Lyft, Canva, etc.)
What We’re Unable to Provide Help With
- Completing tasks on your behalf
- Fixing or repairing broken devices
- Recovering lost digital data
- Guaranteeing the security of your device
- Assisting with financial and medical transactions
