Our Summer Reading Challenge Returns June 1 - August 9
Get ready to grow your reading skills and nourish your imagination!
The goal of our Summer Reading Challenge is to encourage a lifelong love of reading. And, although reading is its own reward, we also have fun activities and prizes planned throughout the program! To make it easier to log your reading, you can sign up and log your reading at the library or participate online.
Summer Reading Challenge for Adults
Starting June 1, you can sign up and start logging your reading to be entered into our weekly gift card drawing. After you log four books, you’ll earn a ceramic planter and a coupon for a free book from the Friends’ Bookshop. You’ll also be entered in our Grand Prize drawing for the chance to win a Chicago Botanic Garden household membership!
Summer Reading Challenge for Teens & Youth
Starting June 1, you can sign up and start logging your reading to earn coupons, drawing tickets, and a prize book. Complete extra reading and bonus activities for a planter kit and additional drawing tickets.
Summer Reading Challenge for Babies
Starting June 1, you can sign up and complete early literacy activities with your little one to earn prizes, a book, and be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing.
