Summer Reading is Here!
We have a Summer Reading program for every age. Learn about the great prizes you can earn for reading throughout the summer.
Summer Reading Prizes
Adult Prizes: Log four or more books to earn a colorful mouse pad and be entered into a drawing to win a one-year Chicago Botanic Garden membership.
Teen Prizes (Grades 6-12): Log your reading to earn a free book, coupons to local businesses, and drawing tickets for a chance to win Apple AirPods or gift cards. Watch our video to learn more about Summer Reading and the prizes you can win.
Youth Prizes (3yrs. - Grade 5): Log your reading to earn coupons to local businesses and be entered to win prizes including a bicycle, a Nintendo Switch, a $100 Book Bin gift card, and more. Kids will also earn a free book for completing the program. Watch our video to learn more about the prizes you can win.
Baby Prizes (Birth - 3yrs): Sign up and complete fun literacy activities with your baby to earn a free board book and a rainbow ribbon hand kite.

Sign up and log your reading online or print a reading log
Starting June 1, you'll be able to visit this page to sign up and track your reading online, by phone, or by email. You can also stop by the library to sign up and log your reading during open hours.
Sign up and track your reading online using READquared
From the top right of the page, click Register (to create a new account) or Login (if you already have an account). If you created an account for one of our past reading programs, you can use the same account information to log in.
Once you log in, to add a reading activity, click the "Enter Activity" button.
Enter your reading activity and click the "Submit" button.
