Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 to recognize the many contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans have made to American society and culture. To celebrate, our librarians have curated these titles in our collection:

Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago
Enjoy a performance by the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago, which preserves and celebrates Mexican cultural heritage through the artistry of traditional dance. (Advance registration required.)

Día de los Muertos Community Ofrenda (All Ages)
Honor a loved one who has passed away by decorating a picture frame in their memory. We will include completed
frames in our community ofrenda. Blank picture frames and more detailed instructions can be picked up at the Youth
Services desk beginning Monday, October 19. (One frame per person, while supplies last.)
