Resources for Students

Our student resources include eBooks, digital magazines, homework help, language learning, and educational entertainment. All of these resources are available with your library card. Review vendor privacy policies.

Need a library card?

If you are 18 or under and you live in Northbrook (including unincorporated Northbrook), you can get a library card for free.

After you get your library card, install the Northbrook Public Library app to access your digital library card, reserve a study room, and much more.

Student Print Credit

The library offers free printing credit for Northbrook students. Each student, age 5-18 years old, with a Northbrook Public Library card, will be given $20 in printing credit. This credit resets to the full amount annually in August. The leftover funds do not roll over and can not be used for Collaboratory supplies.

If a student registers for a new library card after August, there will be a delay in receiving the print credits. Please ask at the Reference desk or call 847-272-4873 if you have any questions.
