Stitching the Vote: How One Northbrook Resident is Using Fashion to Make a Civic Impact

Northbrook resident and lifelong sewer Julie Kay is using her passion for civic engagement and design to help get out the vote this election season. With the help of the staff and equipment in the Collaboratory, Northbrook Public Library’s makerspace, she has embroidered approximately 30 upcycled jackets, spreading democracy fashionably.

Online Services Will Be Limited From Sept. 28-Oct. 1 as Two New Libraries Join Our Library Network

From Saturday, September 28, through Tuesday, October 1, online services will be limited due to planned server maintenance to add the Mount Prospect and Waukegan Public Libraries to our library network. After the two new libraries are added, 550,000 new materials will be available in the collection for you to enjoy.
