Northbrook resident and lifelong sewer Julie Kay is using her passion for civic engagement and design to help get out the vote this election season. With the help of the staff and equipment in the Collaboratory, Northbrook Public Library’s makerspace, she has embroidered approximately 30 upcycled jackets, spreading democracy fashionably.

On Thursday, October 17, the library's public parking lot will be closed for a one-day refresh that includes crack filling, sealing, and striping. parking will be available along Cedar Lane, in the staff lot on Cherry Lane, and at the Village commuter lot between Village Hall and Public Works. Northbrook Public Library invites the community to our Meet the Author Fair on Saturday, October 19 from 10:00am-2:00pm. Attendees can meet local authors, get their books signed, and enjoy light refreshments.

Drop by for a family concert from Miss Jamie and her farm puppet friends. Seating is limited to the first 200 patrons.
